What we do

We are a team of volunteers dedicated to rescuing, neutering and re-homing unwanted and stray cats.

Cats Protection Greenwich operates throughout the following postcodes: SE2, SE3, SE7, SE10, SE18, SE28. If you need help and you live outside of these postcodes, please visit www.cats.org.uk/find-us and type in your postcode to locate the nearest branch to you or call the Cats Protection national helpline on: 03000 12 12 12.

Cats Protection vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. We work in three main areas trying to help achieve this:

Homing: finding good homes for cats and kitten in need. Visit our Adopt a cat section to see the cats which are currently looking for a loving home.

Neutering: supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats and kittens.  Read  more on our Features pages.

Information: improving people's understanding of cats and their care by working with the public, providing information and advice.

Cats Protection was formed in 1927, and has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. Cats Protection Greenwich is part of the UK’s leading cat welfare charity which helps over 235,000 unwanted cats each year through a national network of 260 volunteer-run branches and 30 adoption centres. The charity’s vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.
